Scope of this page
A dated, attributed record of the 200,000-wishlist announcement, and the reason the studio gave for tracking wishlists at all.
The author and channel are part of the record: Matavatar published this milestone on the official Beautiful Light Steam News channel on 2023-11-01.
The post reported 200,000 wishlists and described the figure as large for a studio of its size. It is a dated milestone: later official posts report 400,000 in February 2024, 500,000 in August 2024 and 600,000 in January 2025, so this number is not the current one.
The studio explained why it tracks wishlists at all, and the reason is operational rather than promotional: wishlists give it a sense of purchase interest, and their localisation data tells it which languages and server regions to prioritise, small regions included. That explanation is why the site records this post rather than treating it as an announcement of nothing.
It named the five regions where the game was most wishlisted at that date, in the order the post gave them: North America, Western Europe, Asia, the Russia/Ukraine/CIS group, and Latin America. The post gave an order, not percentages, and this page adds none.
It also described its playtest method: sessions hosted on Discord, open to anyone in principle, with access granted to a limited number of participants selected randomly. A gameplay video was included and explicitly labelled work-in-progress pre-alpha.
The source is a dated official announcement
The source identifies its author, its channel, and its publication date. Those three coordinates stay visible so the page cannot be read as an undated current status.

What the studio says wishlist data is for
The post gives its own reason for tracking wishlists, and the reason connects directly to the site's languages page.

A milestone is a dated point, not a current figure
Wishlist counts only move upward, so a milestone post is obsolete the moment the next one is published. The sequence is kept; the current figure is not claimed.
